Our First "Party Barn" Project
When we received the call from the Berry family wanting help with an outside building we honestly didn't know what to expect - hadn't done one of "those" before but as usual, that didn't stop us from proceeding. Tricia met with Scott and Tammy we talked about the "look" what the family would be using it for and of course budget. The barn didn't have plumbing connected for water or septic so that meant pulling permits, etc. -a somewhat lengthy process but we were up for the challenge, and as usual, things managed to fall right into place. The out building/barn/garage was used to assemble and renovate boats by the previous owner but the Berry family was ready to turn the space into a place where they could enjoy the barn for family gatherings, playing pool, watching sports, etc.
Our wheels immediately started turning with visions of reclaimed lumber, beams, barn lighting, and some cool furnishings- all with a little "High Cotton touch" of course. Tricia presented some inspiration pictures and from that point on they let us take the reigns and go for it- our favorite kind of projects. We are so proud of the completed project and couldn't wait until the family got to see their "Dugout" (the best part of finishing any project). Their son, Cooper plays baseball and he is so happy to have a "dugout" of his own at home. We hope this space will provide many good times and memories for this special family. We know we sure enjoyed creating such a unique and fun space!
