A Nod to Some Serious High Cotton Girl Power
From unloading 18-wheelers, chasing llamas, hanging blinds, moving furniture, parking trailers and whatever else is thrown our way- we have learned to cowgirl up, take the bull by the horns, and most importantly fake it till’ you make it… And “make it” we have, every day is filled with full-blown girl power, dedication and genuine hard work, (all while wearing lipstick.)
We hope we express our gratitude often to you, The High Cotton Family, who appreciates our charm, rolls with our crazy, and makes this all worth it at the end of the day!
It wouldn’t be right to celebrate a day about women without recognizing THE woman who was brave enough to just go for it, and has given life to the amazing dream turned reality that is High Cotton. Our favorite girl boss, HBIC, fearless leader: High Cotton Owner/CEO/ design extraordinaire, Tricia Dabney-Kothmann. She is the epitome of a hard worker and is a true inspiration to all women as a mother, leader, boss, and friend! I guess you can blame it all on her roots, growing up the only child to a hard working farmer, she learned all about long days and hard work and the value of treating everyone like family from day one.
Throughout her life Tricia has taken on any and every adventure rising to the occasion and not being afraid to beat the boys in whatever she was doing. It was a tough battle to say the least and trust us-sometimes things are far from glamorous; but no matter the obstacle she has persevered and never stopped dreaming. Some thought she would only make it “when pigs fly” but in true Tricia fashion, she didn’t take no for an answer, and boy are pigs flying!
So we take this day to celebrate Tricia, our High Cotton Gals, and any and every dreamer- because trust us sister, your pigs can start flying just as soon as you’re ready for them to!
